i am having issues with my pc. whenever i go into any site,even this one. i will be reading even questions, and my pc will shut go right back to my desktop.please can someone help me.

I would go to www.avg.com and then go to the windows update site, both are free =)

Actually sounds like a hard disk space issue. If your C drive is low on free disk space, less than 100 MB, then multiple funny acting things will happen. Check this first, then check your virtual memory setup. If you have your VM on the C drive, consider moving it to another drive and set the high and low amounts to the same number.

A modem or ethernet card going bad will cause you to get disconnected.

I would run your anti virus program to make sure you have no viruses and then do a full system restore
