Well, no.. It will take some space and slow the computer down just a little but not that big of a differance unless you have a 4 year or older computer. But you need this software to protect your self or you could find your self with a broke down computer that doesnt want to work at all anymore,. Visit my site and look on my home page, there you will see a link to the security center that has free programs listed there and the ratings and tests we have run to compair the top few freebies.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me on the e-mail address on my site. Let me know how it goes!

one of my favorite sites and I always recommend this is
www.winpatrol.com

This has to be one of the better places for anti-virus software and it is totally free. Space should not be a problem considering you would use 4x the space with a virus or be shut down all together! Also try lavasoft ad-aware. That is a great secondary tool and it is 100% free for personal use.

the right 3 free AV courses are Avast, Avira, and AVG (depending upon the outcome of diverse self sufficient sorting out labs). i lately reviewed the rankings of quite a few self sufficient sorting out labs and positioned that Kaspersky and BitDefender are both precise paid AV courses with those 2 swapping lower to and fro interior the right 2 slots on the diverse sorting out labs. which could to not say that they were significantly better than some others, like Norton's. regularly, the right names are all interior 2 or 3 percentage factors interior the sorting out outcomes.
