Don't fall victim to popular myths about bugs & such .... patches & service packs are a fact of lile.... XP is still geting updates isn't it ?

I've been using Vista for a while now & I will NEVER go back to Xp Pro.

Vista is much faster, more secure & more intuitive than XP.
A totally revamped OS .... not just a redecorated GUI.

GO FOR IT !

I would get more ram as I heard it really eats up the memory. remember xp they said 512 is more than enough to run it but we all had slow computers and had to get atleast a gig. now with vista I would say you need atleast 2 gig.

I would wait and see how others start talking about the final build before jumping head first in to the lake of vista. I am sure it will be a good OS but I dont need it as XP Pro is just fine with me.

I would take it and wait to upgrade for some time, if you have that option. Most suggest to wait till you need to upgrade, like a program requires Vista. I myself will wait at least a year before considering upgrading.

If I were you I would take it. If you go for XP you will have to upgrade to Vista at some time in the future so why not have Vista from day one.
PS: Lucky you.

i offered a similar computing gadget in user-friendly terms it became a HP a1630n and together as attempting to receive the Vista improve, the exterior web site distributor whom Microsoft makes use of, does no longer enable me acquire the improve. i'm satisfied now that i did no longer improve to Vista, from what I even have heard it is barely a attractiveness distinction and takes up greater of your memory and bytes. on the minute it is not truly actual worth the attempt.

If you have access to tech support from your pc manufacturer and they are going to support Vista then yes, if not then you might want to wait a while. Check to see how long you have to get it free.

I would accept the upgrade while you can get it (almost) free.

You do not have to install it straight away. You could wait a few months until some of the major bugs have been ironed out.

i would wait however im guessing that, like me you probably have only until march 31st to make up your mind i have accepted the offer.

first of all when you upgrade you have to go onto https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista .
postage and packing costs about £14 and you have to send off your receipt.
all in all ....i cant wait for vista

your free offer probably only be able for a limited period then you will probably have to pay for the update, so suggest you jump in with both feet & save yourself some cash
