i have 300 watt power supply and 7300 GT XFX VGA card (minimum power 350 watt )

but the graphics card worked quite well for a month then the colors started to blend and dots appear on the screen ....

so can the power supply cause this ? or the less power rating would have caused the card not to work in the first place ?

Yes it can but it would also depend on what else you are running in the system. If you do not have say a DVD-RW and a CR-RW and only one HDD then you should be good. The PS are not expensive, I would consider replacing it.

well, your card would not use 350 watts, so if anything, you were running sooo many things in your PC that the card would not have enoguh power to run properly.

Get it exchanged for one designed for your PC!
