Hello.

I'm currently looking for a new AM2 motherboard and I am also looking for DDR2 RAM to go with it. Now, my problem is, is that is the motherboard picky about the voltage of the RAM at all?

Hello! The sound on my computer has been acting up lately. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I have found that if I apply pressure to the area near the headphone jack, the sound comes back. When I use headphones, I have to position the headphones in the jack just the right way for the sound to come out equally from both sides, and usually when I take my fingers away it goes back. I don't know anything about computers, so I am wondering what everything thinks the problem is? Might it be the sound card? If so, how do I repair it? Thank you very very much everybody! My computer is a Gateway laptop and I have had it for a little over a year. ciao -K

I afraid if the new hard disk will encounter some uncompatibility issues with the old version of SD RAM instead of DD RAM. What do you think?

I do not know the make of my sound card. I have a very old PC P3 600 Mhz with intel 810 motherboard. After I reinstalled windows Xp the soundcard is not showing in the device manager and windows media player cannot play anything. I have tried to auto detect the hardware from "Add new hardware" option but it is unable to install the driver automatically. Is there any universal sound card driver available?

I have a four year old Presario 2100 and replaced the battery 18 months ago. Since then it has hardly been used, the battery is flat and will not charge despite being actually new i.e. unused.

Any ideas if I might get it working? Another battery is almost the value of the computer :-(

I have it plugged in. I know my power cord works. I plugged it into this computer.(I have 2 laptops) The only way I can get it on is by battery. I ran a health system scan, and all it said was the a/c adapter was unplugged. (not true) Can someone please help me??? Im not sure where to go from here. Also, it did shut down yesterday from the battery dying and it said it was going into hibernation. It has done that several times, and wont turn back on with a new battery.
Thanks!

I have windows XP and a CTL flatscreen monitor. I have recently re-installed windows xp due to an unforuntate crash over holiday break. But I noticed there is no sound at all. Whether I play something on windows media or go to youtube...anything that should have a sound DOES NOT. i have gone through ALL the "sound troubleshoot" steps, twice now. I still have NO sound. My dad says I should buy a pair of speakers to see if that works (currently the speakers i DO have are IN my monitor) as an alternate way to hear audio. But would that work? If i dont have any sound NO MATTER what I do, why would a pair of speakers work? Did I plug the monitor into the wrong slot on my motherboard?(it says LCD next to it??) Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I appreciate any and all help I really do. Thanks for your trouble...I truly hate being computer illiterate. I'm not even illiterate I'm just a plain BLACK HOLE of computer awareness. Alright, big thanks for your time in advanced! ;)

my san cruzer micro u3 capable 1 gig flash drive won't eject!!!

the littler gray thing with the green arrow won't show up in the bottom left.
when i try to eject it in my computer by right clicking on the drive it says an error occured while trying to unmount removable dish H, and that i should check to see if there are any open files or windows from that volume (so i closed all my windows, and processes besides norton, norton ghost, and necessary ones)
and i can access the drive and remove/store things on it!

so why won't it eject?!?!
