my san cruzer micro u3 capable 1 gig flash drive won't eject!!!

the littler gray thing with the green arrow won't show up in the bottom left.
when i try to eject it in my computer by right clicking on the drive it says an error occured while trying to unmount removable dish H, and that i should check to see if there are any open files or windows from that volume (so i closed all my windows, and processes besides norton, norton ghost, and necessary ones)
and i can access the drive and remove/store things on it!

so why won't it eject?!?!

If it won't eject it may have a SRM program running from it.
( Sorry, SRM stands for Stay Resident Memory) these programs are rare outside of antivirus and OS progams but some companies make them as tracking prgrams, like intel was famous for on the P2 processor. sorry, tangent there. Anyway, the best way to test this is to shut down your computer, THEN unplug it from your USB port. much safer way to protect from damaging anything. After you have done that restart and plug it back in. if it gives you the same message when you go to eject it again then it is not a program issue.( be sure not to start anything when you plug it in. you want to plug in and then eject after only a minute. ) this might be a hardware or software issue at that piont. if it persists but still runs then just don't worry about it, you can always shut down your computer whenever you want to remove the drive safely.

if ure having that much trouble getting the pc to eject the drive, just pull it out of the usb. the chances of losing the data are slim, and if the stuff is that important save a copy of it to the hard drive so if u do lose it u can just go back and try again

If ur sure u've closed all program running from Flash drive, then high possibility is a virus is using that usb. Crtl+Alt+Delete this will open task manager here see for program that looks like confusing name flsvc.exe like. Then Go to option>>in Folder opttion>>Disable checkbox of "Hide System files and folers" then go to drive and see for any hidden application or program that u hadn't copied into. Remove it if not possible copy all ur known files to hard disk And Format the drive.
Do a virus scan for ur system.

its called a flash drive for two reasons, it loads fast, and its meant for you to put in and take out quickly without corrupting data. otherwise, we would all be using gigantic drives that take forever to load and corrupts for no reason
