It would be a lot faster no lousy Hd to rely on usb flash drives 1GB are like 30 dollars and that would fit an OS on it why havent they done this?

I have a Dell XP2 pc for home use and recently connected a wireless router. For daily internet use no problems but for SKYpe phone calls had to disable the Norton Antivirus to connect (only tried this and then reinstated the NAV)
For the surveillance camera all software loaded but again unable to connect. Any suggestions.

I want a new laptop, but not sure what to get. I want a Dell, and I don't want it to be more expensive than 1,300. Device manager says that windows loaded the driver but cannot find the hardware. I uninstalled them, rebooted and windows recognizes that there's new "hardware". I checked the IDE cables and the jumbers (dvd is set as master, cd-rw as slave) and even replaced the ribbon cable. BIOS recognizes both devices and recognizes the set up as well (dvd master, cd-rw slave). Sony cd-rw crx175E and sony dvd-rom DDU1621. Please advise, I'm losing my mind!!!

I am trying to copy some old family recordings over to CD before the audio tapes go bad, and to make them easier to share with family members.

Based on some instructions I saw in an article I purchased a Y cable and downloaded some free software called Audacity. There are three unmarked ports on the back of the PC that will accept the cable end, but I can't seem to get the recording/transfer to work.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. If there are other ways to accomplish this please advise.

I know the 3800 is better at the stock speed. The 3700 has 1mb of l2 cache and if it is overclocked to 2.4 ghz is the same as the 4000+. It has the same core as the FX processors and is £12 cheaper.
