Vista, as you know is still in Beta, which makes you a beta tester. You'll just have to wait until Creative put up updated drivers for the Audigy 2 & Vista. That might not be until the final release next year. When you decide to use beta software you do so BECAUSE you want to find bugs and fixes and offer input to Microsoft before they release a final version. If you just want free software, well, you get what you pay for. :-)

I did the Vista compatability scan and it said my Audigy Platinum DX has issues with compatability and to get a driver update from the creative website. I updated my drivers but the OS was still incompatible to date. BTW: My printer also has driver issues.
My computer will work with Vista but as I use my Audigy quite a lot, I'll wait to upgrade to the new OS.
You could try opening the creative program and follow the links for updates and upgrades or try using the "restore defaults" setting.

I don't think a Creative Audigy 2 S/C will work with Vista, unless Creative plan to release driver updates.
