I just formated a hard drive and reinstalled XP on a laptop of mine. It worked fine for a couple of days, but yesterday I turned on my laptop and it read Operating system not found. I tried again a few minutes later and windows loaded. Then later on in the evening it began the same problem and is continuing to do so today. Anybody have any ideas whats going on or what I can do? Thanks.

currently here is my setup
AMD Anthlon 64 X2 4200+
1GB Kingston DDR400
Power Color X1600XT 256MB
450W PSU

The motherboard is nForce 4 Ultra
it has
1 PCIe16x
1 PCIe 4x
2 PCIe 1x
3 PCI
i think thats the basics..

i am quite sure the motherboard does not support CrossFire :).. so i might get Nvidia if this mb can support SLI

I spent hours recording all my cds onto my itunes on my old laptop (not conected to the net). I am now living abroad and had used my work computer to download some good songs from limewire, etc. i also managed to access itunes and set up an account to buy a couple of audiobooks.
I managed to get all my new tunes onto my ipod but most of my old ones have been taken off. They are listed in my library but with an exclamation mark next to them. When I click on it, it says that itunes can't find the source. I am give the option to manually find the source but there are about 20 folders, each with 10 music files. How can I replace my songs quickly without searching through every music file. Is there a way to get my favourite songs back?????

In other words, does a "dual channel capable mother board" have anything to do with DDR or DDR2 memory?

Is DDR2 memory the only way to go if you're into video editing?

I'll be using Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 to capture, edit, and burn DVD's from my old family VHS and 8mm tapes.

I have always been a Mac user and am getting more and more questions from friends who are considering the switch. If you have made the switch (Win to Mac) are you happy?

I just bought a Dell SmartStep 250N off of eBay. It has an Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.4 GHz, 40 GB harddrive (4200 RPM), 32MB ATI Mobility Radeon video card, and 256MB of RAM (I think). Is this a good laptop? Will I be happy with it? I will use it for surfing the internet mainly.

I got a new usb external hard drive but when I use windows to format the disk, I tried to create both primary E and F drives at the same time. Now none of the partition was formatted properly and my PC can no longer detect the drive, what can I do? Did I destroy the disk already?
