I got a new usb external hard drive but when I use windows to format the disk, I tried to create both primary E and F drives at the same time. Now none of the partition was formatted properly and my PC can no longer detect the drive, what can I do? Did I destroy the disk already?

go to control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management -> disk management -> either you can format the USB harddisk or better delete the partition and reformat

go to Start> My Computer
right click and select Manage
expand computer management(local)
expand storage, click on disk management
your drive should show up here with an option to format and other otions

make sure you install drivers.. and formatt using FAT only and not quick formatt.. try it again....
