I just hooked up two computers to my DSL modem via a network router. I then set up the home network in Win XP on both computers and restarted both. Both computers are giving me a Windows system error "There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network." I then tried repairing the local connection on each computer - trying to get a new IP address for both computers. That didn't work. The only way i can get on the internet is if I unplug one computer from the network router - no IP conflict that way and the internet works fine with just the one computer. So how do I get both computers on the internet?

I have a Sony VAIO SZ340 and it has a wireless card built in so I can get a signal but it is kinda weak once I leave the house and of course there are dead spots. I have been researching what I should get and I have gone to Circuit City, Best Buy, & Staples and they all say Linksys but they don't tell me which one. I really don't want to spend more than 150 bucks on this and I need it to be portable so that I can take it somewhere, start up my comp and the router and get going with a mega fast connection preferrably on the beach or somewhere that doesn't have an ethernet port. I say this b/c I spend too much time inside and I want the freedom of being able to do my work (which is internet-based) on the beach if I wanted. Please help me I need serious answers thank you.

Well I am having a issue with virtual SMTP servers. I am trying to make it so each domain on my windows 2003 box (Virtual dedicated) has its own IP address for sending mail. I setup a virtual SMTP server for each IP and domain but when I send mail through that IP/Domain it will use the servers default IP address to relay the mail out.

Do you have any idea how to fix this so each virtual SMTP is sending with its own IP address? Or do you know of a SMTP server I can istall that will let me configure it this way?

I have a bunch of domains hosted on a windows box and some clients reqire a dedicatged IP with rDNS for sending emails.

Wondering what type of reasonably priced ethernet card would be the most powerful to pick up signals and if there is even a difference in the new ethernet cards as opposed to the one i bought with my laptop 5-6 yrs ago?
