It is probably best to leave it blocked. Limewire is one of the biggest purveyors of spyware/adware.

I have installed limewire but a firewall or router is blocking. What can i do for both problems?

If you have a firewall software program such as zone alarm, you'll need to grant permission for limewire to access the internet. If you have a router depending on what type of router you have i.e. linksys etc., you'll have to open up ports to allow limewaire to access the internet.
Go to limewire's webpage and read the help section !

If you have administrative access to the firewall and/or router, then unblock the ports that Limewire uses. If you don't have admin access, ask the administrator of the system/network to do it for you. If he/she won't/can't, then tough, there's nothing that can be done.

limewire doesnt work on vista. but u can try disabling the firewalls and run/download as administrator. also check this links. hope they help
