From my understanding as long as computers are connected to a network you can share resourses. Let me tell you what I know about the network.

All of the computers in the building run to a switch. .... and that is about all I know about the physcal topology of the network.

I ran ipconfig on both computers mine is 10.20.181.233 with a subnet mask of 255.255.252.0. His computers ip is 10.20.182.23 with the same subnet mask. I tried to even just ping his ip and it timed out. default gateway is 10.20.180.1

We both are running Windows XP.

I would also like to use the network to play games.

I am not looking for step by step as much as resources.

Where can I change the way the default SNMP address is set up when a user is created in Microsoft Exchange 2003? I want to change the default. Currently it concatinates first name and last initial at domian name. I want the default to be first name dot last name at domain name when I create a new user. Example: gary.greer@domain.org rather than garyg@domain.org

You cannot access things like printers on you home network until you disconnect from the the VPN and your Ethernet connection is given a new local IP. Question: how can I write a Route statement that will allow me to print to the printer on my home Lan while connected to the corporate VPN?

My local IP: 192.168.1.4
VPN IP: 10.4.9.129
Local printer IP: 192.168.1.5

Three lonelygirl15-obsessed amateur Web sleuths set up a sting using tracking software that appears to show that e-mails sent from a lonelygirl15 account came from inside the offices of the Beverly Hills-based talent agency Creative Artists Agency.

The apparent CAA link takes its place alongside other tantalizing pieces of evidence that lonelygirl15 is not who she claims to be: a copyright for the name obtained by an Encino lawyer, and a plot line that, leading speculation suggests, will turn out to be the lead-in to a horror movie's marketing campaign.

CAA spokesman Michael Mand said he "could neither confirm nor deny" that the agency is representing whoever is behind the 27 video posts. (Other talent agencies and production companies contacted by The Times denied any connection.)

Hi !
I have registered a domain - abc.com and 50 MB of webspace from some hosting company.

Currently, my domain name points to a couple of name servers provided by the hosting company (Name Server 1 and Name Server 2)

What I want to do is get rid of the hosting service and point the domain name to some other site -
eg:> http://myname.googlepages.com/

How can I do this?
Currently I have put a redirector page on the old site, which redirects the user to the new site - but once the year is over, I will not be able to do this...

I need a top of the line, quality, Wireless Access Point with the ability to run 128-bit encryption. I DO NOT need a Wireless Router, basically, just a Wireless Hub.

I am currently using a Cisco 4800, but it is starting to act flakey and after spending $1675 on it several years ago, I do not want a WAP like it again. I need something less expensive, but SOLID AS A ROCK.

Anyone have any ideas? Please, if you are able, post a link to the PDF for the WAP in your answer if you don't care to. Thanks.

I have a D-Link Wireless G Router (WBR-1310). The provided software keeps giving me "incorrect router" errors, yet the CD came with the router.

Is there any alternative free wireless networking software out there that's easy to set up and would work with a D-Link router?
