I.e. D-link's software. Can I just use network magic to setup my network and not use any of the software or drivers that came with the router?

I can't access the routers configuration pages. The dlink software will not work (error: incorrect router-- but the CD came with the router). I have the internet connection working through a USB cable to the cable modem.

I have a dlink router. I have no way to access it's control panel (192.168.0.1 won't work for me), and have no way to setup the network. The dlink CD is giving errors that the router is incorrect.
That's my problem here... I need the router to be able to notice the internet connection and share it with the other computers in my house. Currently the only thing that can "see" my internet connection is the USB cable going from the PC to the cable modem.
