Where can I change the way the default SNMP address is set up when a user is created in Microsoft Exchange 2003? I want to change the default. Currently it concatinates first name and last initial at domian name. I want the default to be first name dot last name at domain name when I create a new user. Example: gary.greer@domain.org rather than garyg@domain.org

First off, is't SMTP, not SNMP.

Go into System Manager. Open Policies and click on Recipient Policies. On the right side, right click Default Policies and select Properties. Click the E-Mail addresses (policy) tab. Select the policy you want to change and click Edit. To make it display as you specified, type %g.%s@domain.org (Don't forget the 'dot' between the %g and the %s.) Click Apply and OK all the way out.

The changes will take place at the next policy update interval. To force it immediately, right click Default Policy and select Apply this policy now...

Create a recipient policy (or edit your default)

Use this %g.%s@domain.org

%g = given name (first name)
%s = surname
