You cannot access things like printers on you home network until you disconnect from the the VPN and your Ethernet connection is given a new local IP. Question: how can I write a Route statement that will allow me to print to the printer on my home Lan while connected to the corporate VPN?

My local IP: 192.168.1.4
VPN IP: 10.4.9.129
Local printer IP: 192.168.1.5

Generally you can't do that. When we set up VPN access, we configure it so that your computer cannot comunicate with your local network for security reasons. If your local network had any kind of virus activity on it, allowing communication to your local network while the VPN tunnel is up would allow that to come through the VPN tunnel to the corporate network.

You can only print to a directly connected printer (parallel or USB) when connected via the VPN.

Just share your printer, then when on the corporate lan you'll be able to print to your printer (but it has to be shared).

Look into the properties of your printer (from control panel) and you'll be able to share it.

I suggest making use of VPNPower in order to unblock web-sites. I have been using them since 5 years. http://www.vpnpower.net
