I have a wireless network installed in my home. The computer that is upstairs and furthest away from the portal, always selects a neighbor's signal and so it can't access the internet. I want to be able to remove that from my Available Network, but I can't - it's always there. I'm running Windows XP

Does anyone know what the clock tolerance is on routers etc. for 1 Gigabit Ethernet and where can I find it on the internet. I'm referring to the reference clock that runs at 156.25MHz. It should be +/- some PPM. I'm looking to find out what that something is. I'm building a piece of equipment that links to routers and I need to know what the pull-in range needs to be to accomidate all routers. This is 1 GbE, not 10 GbE. Thank you in advance.

I have a linksys wireless router in my apartment. It seems the signal has been decreasing. The computer in the living room about 10 feet from the router has great strength, but the computer in my room about 50 feet away is getting about 70% strength. Any ideas? Or is it maybe my wireless card.

I am looking for a Network drive (so I can share date between laptop and a desktop computer, but it would be useful if I also could access the data from outside the home network (like when on holiday and connected via hotspot). Do you any of any products that offer this functionality ?

At the beginning I thought it was a virus - I was re-doing my Win2k machine at the office from scratch - the balance of my network works fine. When I try to connect to this computer from others, I get the above error.

What's worse is that I try to do a "Net share IPC$" and it works for a few moments, then dissapears.

I thought it was a virus, so I LLF'd the hard drive and started over from scratch again. I still get the same problem. If it's a virus, it's a freakin' resilient one - never faced anything like this before and I've set up hundreds of computers over dozens of networks.

I tried one thing - rebooting the computer but not logging in (leaving it at the login screen) and the printer shares work.

When I saw that I thought it may be something in my profile (it's a roaming profile) so I deleted my profile on the server and all roaming copies of it. STILL THE SAME when I login with a fresh profile! Arggggghhh!

Need help!!!!
