ok i was on the computer then 2 warning things popped up so im like well crap a virus or something, so i turned off the computer then tuned it back on. now these stupid webpages keep popping up!!! its so annoying

also soometimes ihear voices on my computer liek 2 ppl having a conversation, and its nothing i have up b/c myspace doesnt have vocal adds, and neither does yahoo answers

help! pleeease

helo, I really need a professional help for my internet cafe. i installed my cafe timer in my server and copied each ip address of each of my pc workstation. everything runs well. the next day, some of the cafe timer in my workstation wont work. when i checked the ip address of the pc workstations in my server, the ip addresses changes.

my settings in my IP is "Obtain IP address". I need my settings to be this way.

I have xp, full of download problems, super slow online games and errors.. I went to get sp2 and I couldn't download ActiveX.. so i went to check if my xp is validated.... it's not

but the other day i found 98 backed up on my computer.. can I remove xp and reinstall 98 again?? and if so, is it worth it? I have noticed a stunning lack of spyware with xp

Fake Windows xp sp1 is problematic but at least it works, I do not wish to MURDER my computer lol

i lost my cd and now i cant get on. and then i tried using a sp1 cd from my old pc and that just left me in a place where i need the product key for it and i dont know what the product key is.
the computer was sp2 till i used the vista cd and scince that had a trail i tried the sp1 cd and that put me in a worse position. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was running a system restore,i left room for 5 mins,came back and comp was on a black screen with - start in safe mode - start from last known good settings etc,i clicked start from last known good settings and after rebooting my comp it beeped-(or made a clicking sound) then went back to black screen with options - i am now on safe mode,this happened over 1 year ago and i had to reformat the hard drive-lost all my music files etc,after taking a long time to put them back i dont want to have to do the same again-any ideas what the problem is?? i have tried system restore in safe mode - the same screen comes up? any help greatly appreciated,ty.

After login to my Window page, I noticed that my PC slowed down. When I clicked on Ctrl-Alt-Del to view the process usage, I found out that IExplorer was turned on by itself and kept running. How could I remove this? Was it due to any virus or trojan? How to avoid this in future?

I GB memory vs 2 GB for someone who is not a gamer and only uses the PC for e-mail, internet searches, and college work - - also, hard drive: 320 GB vs 250GB.
How much is really needed for reasonable efficiency?

Windows Vista vs XP for non-networked, single person, home use.
This is a gift for a friend. I want to get enough but not pay for capacity that will not be needed. Added note - speed of internet may be limited by her connection which is in the mountains beyond cable services. Only wireless access
other than the snail paced dial up. Strength of wireless service varies from 2 to 3 bars - if this affects speed (which is another facet I do not know). Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I just ordered my MacBook with a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB memory, a 120GB hard drive, and a Double-layer SuperDrive. When I bought it, it was way too much money to upgrade to 2GB of RAM, let alone 4GB. ($150, and $850)

It says I could get 2GB of ram for $51, or 4GB of ram for $160.
I don't feel like spending $160 on that, but I will if its worth it. I was just wondering if 2GB is good enough, or should I go with the 4GB?
