XP requires a 400 meg or faster processor and at least 256 megs of ram, (I suggest at least a gig). I also needs about 3 to 4 gigs of open hard drive for installation files. If you have the above requirements, then go for it.
You can also use an upgrade disk instead of a full version. The software is the same, but with the upgrade you can keep all of your personal data. And, since both use the NTFS file allocation tables the upgrade should be fairly seamless.

this is truly unhappy and disgusting how this manner of crime is going unpunished,if the motive force had owed money to a pair government branch he would have been jailed, yet for taking the life of a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old he walks loose...the regulation of the land needs to alter quicker truly than later there are too a lot of those scum bags getting away with homicide...you are able to contemplate whether it have been a politicians son that he killed would the end result have been the comparable

Are you using Windows 2000 or ME? Either way, yes, just purchase the upgrade - especially if you are using ME. I used ME once - for about 5 minutes.

Yes you can, you can either upgrade it or do a clean install but make sure you have enough RAM and your Processor is up for it too.
