I have xp, full of download problems, super slow online games and errors.. I went to get sp2 and I couldn't download ActiveX.. so i went to check if my xp is validated.... it's not

but the other day i found 98 backed up on my computer.. can I remove xp and reinstall 98 again?? and if so, is it worth it? I have noticed a stunning lack of spyware with xp

Fake Windows xp sp1 is problematic but at least it works, I do not wish to MURDER my computer lol

Personally I think windows 98 is much better, its more stable. But Microsoft have programmed XP in such a way that most xp programs will not run on 98 any more. Thats way people buy xp and they earn lots of money. So for that reason I would reinstall XP instead...

XP in many ways better than 98.
So reinstall xp.
Whether u use pirated copy or original copy, there is not much difference.
u should get the pirated from reliable source.
I insist u bu an oem copy of xp near by store.
It will save all ur programs & have an antivirus & antispyware running & updated.
Have avira/avast & superantispyware/spybotsearch&destroy running.
In 2 months SP3 of xp will be out & its allready doing good in beta state.

98 is no longer supported by Microsoft therefor there are no longer any security updates or patches for it making it very vulnerable to security attacks.

If you are using a pirated copy of XP, about all you can do for security is to run a really good firewall.

You can get an OEM copy of XP Home for about 80 - 90 bucks. It will register and allow you to download all of the security and upgrade patches.
