I sold a laptop on e-bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160178741235)
that was damaged by someone spilling coffee on it and made it clear that the unit did not turn on and it was for parts or repair. I explained corrosion I found on the motherboard, that I even replaced the keyboard.

The buyer is unhappy and said the following:

"The fact is that such item had been badly abused. If it was you who tried to repair it, you failed to mention that there are parts missing and broken off the motherboard. The connection from the motherboard to the Media Card Slot is missing. Also, there is a broken connection under the Power botton. "

What's the best way to reply? Basically it was my understanding that I washed my hands of it because the title "For Parts Or Repair" and described as in not working condition. When you get an item like that don't you expect there are going to be things wrong?

YES TO New iPhone (iPhone Nano Maybe) (A condensed version. Just phone SMS, iPod capabilities. No Browser or YouTube. Maybe Wi-Fi for the iTunes Mobile Store.)

Yes to a MacBook update (Maybe one with the 12 in. screen we all miss.)

Yes to a Tablet (Why wouldn't they. Kill the Amazon Kindle and Sony E-book Reader and Scare other companies to discourage them from making a Reader/Tablet. Built in Wi-Fi, condensed mobile version of Leopard)

hi... so i dont know about ur computors but mine has 2 disks
one is local disk C: and the other is local disk D:
C: has the operating system on it and D: is where i put all of my files... but i have a problem
sometimes when i download things and it automatically saves itself (when it DOESNT say ' save file to______ ' ) it saves itself to C:.well my C: disk it only 8 Gigs and it is completely full is there any way to switch places of the disks so the C: is secondary and the D: is the primary one or the first one where everything automatically saves to.

please help
and if u can help please explain every detail on what to do
im completely computer illiterate
so any help is good if this can even be done

If i have a wireless router for my laptop.. Am i able to connect to the internet wherever i am if i take the router too? Or is there only certain places you can connect to, or maybe only in the home network? I'm new to all this and very confused.

OK, so I have a Sony PCG-FRV27. It's a great laptop. Two problems. 1) My mouse will tab on it's own and go back to a random part in a paragraph whenever I type. It affects all my programs: Word, Internet Explorer, everything. 2) When i open "My Computer" usually I can click " Drive C" and it will open the drive. But when I do click the drive, it opens a search window for the C Drive. So I have right click the drives to open them. When I do right click them, the "Search" option is bolded, instead of the "open" option. How do I change this? Thank you for your help. This will make me very happy if I can fix these two things.

I know it is usually not possible, but I have been reading up and I saw a couple of people that were able to add a shortcut to their "My Computer" without and 3rd party software. I usually hear about is as a REG hack but again, nowhere I looked was clear on the code.

If it helps, what I'm trying to do is add a web of my Online Drive to my computer.

I know that the MacBook costs more than most of the Notebooks, but which one is better in terms of duribility? Personally, I like Apple better than PC, but my dad is convinced that no good can come from Apple. I want the MacBook, but my dad warns against them. I think he might be biased toward PCs though. ok i'm doing a project for school in word 2003 and i need to use every page's footer to put stuff in. whenever i put something in one footer, it puts the same exact thing in alot of my footers after that. i don't have "link to previous" on, either.

My Kids Have so many dvd cartoons well most are like pokemon dragon ball z well you know what the kids are into these days, I dont allow my kids to handle the movies since they dont fullyunderstand about not how to take care of them, I am using a program called magic dvd copier/ripper, and noticed i had the option of converting the files to like MP3 or MPEG2 MP4 IPOD apple Tv Zune and so on, And i thought about hey could i convert the files to mp3 and fit more movies on one DVD save disc more convient for the kids, and was wondering will DVD except MP3 movies or MPEG2 since the file format is smaller and curious about the quality. and Ideas what greatly be appreciated, the kids will have there own dvds they can have and if they tear them up wich is gonna happen i can just then make another copy, I own the DVDs so I am not Ilegally copying them. I am tired of having to repurchase movies they like and would like to just burn another copy to replace the damaged one, seems smarter
