I know that the MacBook costs more than most of the Notebooks, but which one is better in terms of duribility? Personally, I like Apple better than PC, but my dad is convinced that no good can come from Apple. I want the MacBook, but my dad warns against them. I think he might be biased toward PCs though. Which one do you suggest?

It all depends on what you are looking for software wise. They are both very durable computers in a physical way. If you are into music and media, I would go with a Mac because they have so many more features based towards media. On the other hand, if you are the working type, you may wish to go with the Dell. Though Windows are considered the computer for work, Macs also can run some Windows programs like Office. And on top of this, if you are still not sure which to go with, there is a program out for Macs called BootCamp. With this software, you may also install Windows in your Mac. This means that when you boot up your MacBook, you would have the option of running Mac Leopard or Windows Vista.

I hope this helps,

Think about buying a computer that has both hardware and software made by the same people. It is more durable, virus free and a very stable platform. The only drawback with the Apple is the availability of outside software. Some things are made exclusively for a Windows computer. But the Intel based Apples will now run Windows and the PCs cannot run the Apple OS. You can actually have the best of all worlds with a Mac.

Apple is garbage. Stick with pure PC based products.

Apple is way better than Dell. You will never have to worry about viruses, security concerns & vulnerabilities. that means less of those annoying constant security updates.
