i'm a community engineer with 30 years of journey working with desktops. proper now i'm doing some penetration sorting out and laptop forensics. thousands of latest viruses and trojans and all determination of malware come out every day. some are so better that they have been around for years and characteristic yet to be chanced on or maybe if in the event that they have been chanced on, they have not been waiting to provide up them. there is no thank you to thoroughly safeguard a device from it however the ideal element you're able to do is to place in the laptop from scratch, upload the drivers, the extreme application, be unquestionably confident there is no malware on it, then make a picture of the device utilising something loke Symantec Ghost, then you may consistently restoration it to that factor.

Same here, though I have had trojans affect my computer, but not too serious - just more of a nuisance than anything else. I've used AVG Free Edition, but now, I use Avast instead - great program for keeping viruses from affecting your computer! On C-NET.com, it's got a very high user rating, so if you want to check it out....

Would be funny if your computers were all infested with account info/password stealing trojans and you didn't even know it.
