Hey. When i take my computer off sleep my monitor has this weird buzzing sound but after a few hours turns off. I have vista and when i change the resolution, the beeping stops. Whats the problem?? its at 1024 x 768 pixels.I dont want it any bigger because it looks out of place and fat.

spybot and norton. I have read others questions about going to download.com and also getting adware.i need a direct site that i can just click where it will take me right to it or I need to know exactly where to go step by step to get to a dowload. my pop ups come up as soon as i get to a website and when i am reading my mail, i get so many pop ups it moves my mail down so i have to scroll down just to read one and so forth. I have also did the internet options thing where i have it on no pop ups. but now it ask me every time if i want to allow pop-ups, which is every 2 minutes and takes forever to let me continue if i say no and i still get popups even after saying no. I need to know also how to get this warning off after i download something. I am at work now and i am going to print your details of what i need to do when i get home. give me a direct link to a download so all i have to do is key it in or if i can pull this up I can just click directly on the downlod i need &start free

I had Mcafee already on my PC when I bought it. I am not sure what the email username was or the registration info that its asking me, but I need to update the definitions. Can I just buy the software again and pick a new email and registration or somehow do I have to find out what the password was when I first used it?

I want to buy my husband a new computer for christmas that doesn't have vista on it. Are all the new computers with Vista? I want one with XP because I've heard some bad things about Vista. If you have vista then plz tell me what its like. I'd also like to know, in case computers only make it with vista now, if there is a program i can buy to switch it to xp or something. Java setup popped up and said it was ready to be installed, it has a coffee up on it..., is it a good idea to install it? I am new to my computer, had it three months......its already slower than it was...my daughter uses it....and downloads things......she has her own now....but I still don't know what to do about Java, I don't even know what it does,,,,is it a good thing? i accidentally dropped my cordless mouse and my lappy onto the floor which still had the cordless mouse's sensor plugged into it, from a height of about 0.5m onto the carpeted floor.
now the light which was usually on on the mouse is never on, and needless to say the mouse does not work anymore.
it was an expensive gift from a friend i got a couple of months ago. because my "misuse" is not covered under the warranty, i would like to give it a final resuscitation before i decide to chuck it away.

should i dissect the mouse first, or the usb sensor first? im thinking the sensor might be faulty too because i think it landed on the floor first and could be squashed.

where can i find explanation of the normal circuit plan inside a mouse? graphic or text so i could compare whats wrong with mine?

also, is cordless mouse generally more fragile than a corded one? my old corded one has dropped umpteen times but still worked fine when i gave it away.

oh the brand is logitec if that matters

Should I buy it?
I would just want it for simple gaming such as counter-strike source and half life 2 and word proccessing. But I would want to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad processor later (the mother board does support it) and get some better ram (say DDR 2 1066mhz or 800mhz) is it a good buy?
Otherwise should I buy a second hand computer for $300 (This is all AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS) that has:
Intel P4 3.2GHZ
DDR 1 RAM 1.25GB
200GB hard drive
7600 GS
15" lcd
mouse & keyboard
Which ones the better buy? I think its the first one because when upgrading I won't have to get a new motherboard to fit DDR 2 ram and a Core 2 Quad proccessor.
What do you guys think?

Hi I just recently bought an Acer Aspire 5610z laptop from Wal-Mart about a week ago with Windows Vista Home Premium with an Intergrated Graphics Card. When I load up the computer my screen goes black for a second then back to normal when my wireless internet enables itself. I was wondering if that's normal? All the updates we're sucessful and everything works perfectly fine it's just when I first start my PC the screen goes black for a second then everything comes back to normal once the wireless becomes enabled. Any suggestions?
