Goin to college next year....should I but a mac (heard they were good) or a sony (heard they were good too) or just stick with dell?

Microsoft is always getting sued for monopoly, but why isn't Apple? The iphone is monopolized by at&t, thier computers come with ready made software like the photoeditors and video editors and the safari, why doesn't corel and the others sue them for that?

You probably guessed I'm a windows user by now.
Oh, and does anyone think that the guy from the apple adversitements looks like an unemployed-living-on-his-parents-couch-lazy-badly-dressed excuse for a cool person.

I was planning to get DSL because I disconnected my AOL(phew and it was hard) service. So I had my eyes on cable and then I looked at the price...a little too steep for me. So I did some research and so far I hve my eyes on Yahoo Basic DSL. The price seems good and it "sounds" faster than dial-up. But I am afraid it isn't that fast. I usually go on Myspace, Youtube, Aim and so and I don't know if this is the best internet for it. Also my mom isn't willing to pay for $20.00 for internet so no Pro for me. Also i wanted to know how long does it take to install the wireless router that you have to pay for and who will do it. Also on how much is the total for the wirelessrouter + the DSL. Basically I am trying to get some opinions from others personal experience. Thanks!

I am getting a "certificate error" warning when going to the internet that is telling me I should not proceed using the internet until the problem is corrected. It is telling me that others on the internet can view my information if I continue. How did this problem occur and how do I fix it?

I went out of town for a few days and while i was gone, my braindead cousin got online and pretty much, by the looks of things, downloaded the ENTIRE friggin' world wide web...
When i got back home and tried to check my email, the damage had been done.
Hundreds of pop-ups kept spawning one after another, critical system error notifications without end, internet explorer kept crashing back to the desktop, i was gonna try to delete some of the aquired pornsite STDs by going to the control pannel- add or remove programs...but nothing, not a single program was there. A blank box. An entire list of programs vanished, hidden? Ah,hell.....basicly i think my computer is about as close to useless as it has ever been....ever.
I need very badly some expert and professional assistance here! There is no way i can buy another computer...at least not anytime soon. Can anyone who knows how...give me some easy to follow step by step instructions on fixing everything back? Or is it even possible?

I have the Samsung T629 slider phone from T-mobile and I recently bought a Kingston Micro SD memory card so that I could use my phone as an MP3 and put some songs onto it. I used the adaptor so that I could put the memory card into the computer. It came up in the D Drive saying that the memory card was inserted but when i tried to drag songs from ITunes that i had bought into the memory card it said "cannot copy song onto disk- the disk is write-protected." and sometimes it says "cannot copy song onto disk, the disk is not ready"... What? does that mean that i got a defective memory card? ughh its making me soo mad too because its not like these memory cards were cheap.

My primary Card is Nvidia GeForce MX400+Viewsonic A90F+

The secondary Card is SiS 5598/6326+Compaq MV720

So what kind of software do I need to have, or switch between my monitors?
When I boot up the Compaq turns on and shows the boot screen....
then Windows pops up "welcome" on the Viewsonic, which seems kinda strange.
Any Advice?
