What version of MS Word are you using?

If it is 2003 or higher, do a search for ~$* and sort the results by date.

If she is lucky, the temporary file created by MS Word did not delete as it should.

Tyr to open the files around the time she was working on the computer.

As I said, you may get lucky and find a portion or all of the file.

MS Word and other MS office products create a temporary file ~$..........doc The ~$ replaces the first characters of the file.

Chances are slim you will be able to recover it.

Teach your daughter to perform a save as soon as she opens MS Word. This way MS Word will create a temporary file starting with ~$.

Good Luck

no way you can get the file.
However have you check whether the auto-save option is turn on in your mircosoft word ? if yes, you still can try search for it as it might have another different document name.

usually when you try to exit a un-save document, microsoft word will prompt a question to ask you whether you want to save the file.

Jon D M B is correct..

Your other option may be that she did save it, just didnt' realize it. Check your 'recent documents' folder, and see if there is a file there called Untitled.doc or some sutch.
