I am getting a "certificate error" warning when going to the internet that is telling me I should not proceed using the internet until the problem is corrected. It is telling me that others on the internet can view my information if I continue. How did this problem occur and how do I fix it?

We had a power outage at our house and the time and date got eliminated from the computer. Could that be the reason we got the message that the certificate has expired?

A website's certificate provides identification of the web server. If the certificate has an error, it might indicate that your connection has been intercepted or that the web server is misrepresenting its identity.

browser certificates can expire , or they are not approved or something like that
just lower your browser security to low for that site and that connection
the reset to defaults when you are done
