Yes, go into the router's setup and check under wireless security- you can find the key there.

You get into setup by plugging the IP address of the router into the browser (on his machine or one that's already connected successfully) for example:

http://192.168.1.1/ or http://192.168.0.1/

depending upon what address the router has...

If he knows how to get into his wireless AP / Router, you may get lucky, and it is not encripted. This is doubtfull, but it could be. If it is encrypted, you could set the key, and then change the profile on his machine.

The IP of the router / ap is probably something like 192.168.1.1. The best way to tell what the IP is, would be to get on his PC, go to a comand prompt (start / run / cmd) and type ipconfig. The default gateway is the IP address you will want to type in a browser window from his machine to access the GUI of the router.

there are two ways to resetting or to recove password

if u know the user name nad password of the router then u can simply log on to the router and in the wirless tab you can see wirless security tere you can seee ur network key

( to log on go to internet explorer and in adress bar type " \\"ip address of your router ""
then u will get a window which is asking user name ans password

if u don't know the user anme and password

u can reset the router then username and password will be admin and ip address will be 192.168.0.1 and u can log on and u can set the network key

You will have to ask you dad to go into his router's setup and either reset or get the password. DO NOT remove it. It is vital for security.
