what do you do when your computer screen sometimes blinks unexpectedly?

when i turn my computer back on from standby the screen is still dark even when i pressed a key on the keyboard.sometimes when im on the computer my screen just blinks

Refresh rate could be the answer.

Here is another question.

Is there a buz or click when this blink occurs?

If there is, it could mean your monitor is starting to fail or you have had a momentary voltage drop on the circuit your system is plugged into.

Check all the connections, especially the power connections.

If this corrects the problem, you had a loose connection.

If the monitor is plugged into a power bar, move the monitor to another receptacle on the power bar.

If this corrects the problem, replace the power bar.

It's possible that your monitor is set to a refresh rate that it cannot handle. You might try lowering it to see if that fixes the blinking.

Right click on your desktop > properties

Click on Setting Tab > Advanced

Click on Monitor tab.

should be able to adjust the Hz from there.
