Am about to use recovery disc on my Toschiba S4344 laptop- any helpfull hints?

If you can still load windows, make a copy to CD or DVD of all your Data files. Zip them first and save the Zipped file to the CD or DVD.

Did you replace hard drive due to failure? I f just wanting to start fresh I would uninstall OS first and then run recovery CD, but first save all important files and photos etc to CD to install after recovery. You may need to update some drivers after and will also have to set up e-mail and ISP.
