I asked a question a few months okay about being banned from a site. and got a few good responses so here goes my new question.. i always thought i was running on a broadband conection but it is not it is a lan network (271 townhome community with satelite cable and internet service) now we all have seperate IP addresses when checked through IPconfig but when checked through an online ip checker(which is the one everybody says they ban) they are all the same..so they must have banned the ip i get when i do ipconfig because our nieghbor still belongs to the same site my daughter was banned from..is this possible(i know nothing of this stuff). if you have any other questions pm me and i will try to explain more

i have a small outdoor hotel and i also 3mb dsl with netpassage 28g hotspot gatway wirlesss router. when i bought the router i thought it would cover the hotel but it doesn't seem to. tech guy said i should get cable internet to make it work faster. do you guys think type internet effect how far the wireless internet reaches? should i get cable for further reach?

I built my dell online about a month ago..Yesterday it was suppose to ship out so I was so excited! I get home yesterday and I have a message from dell that there was a back up and I won't get my lap top until the 30th....They waited until the day it was suppose to be shipped to tell me this?

When I install re-install 98SE on a clean HD , it does not load the Dynamic Link Library files. There are so many missing that I cannot download them all from a DLL download sites. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

my work emails has websense because i send videos from home. but other people send videos from their home cpu and it plays just fine through windows media player. but mine says i need internet access to veiw yahoo mail. is there another way that i can send it to my work?

My dad recently bought logitech's vx revolution. the mouse is almost perfect, so I was looking logitech's mouses and I saw the similar one - the mx revolution (the note on it's box sayed it's the worlds advanced mouse). so what do people in the world think about mx revolution, or does anybody have an idea what are the good, I mean, a REALLY good mouse. any ideas... I have a notebook, so I don't want too many wires (cuz I already have too much wires) so I wanna wireless?

I'm using the magnetic lasso to cut the background out of clip art. I want to use that image in a Powerpoint presentation however whenever I save it as a JPEG and pull it up it has the background again.

Newest Dell D620 Laptops and other Dell laptops display on DLP, LCD projectors in a squared form, not filling the screen. With resolution changes and refresh rate changes, I can only get the entire desktop to display on settings that end up making the image tiny, also not filling the screen. The old Dell Laptops required only a function-F8 to get the image up on the screen, and if that didn't work, you just dropped the resolution to 1024x768 and that fixed it. We run our projectors in integrated office settings with extron switching and AMX control systems. There is something different with these newer models. Dell support was a joke and no help whatsoever. If your issue doesn't fit in their "help manual" in Mumbai, you get no support. ZERO thinking out of the box with them. Any help is appreciated if you have had this issue and have the solution.

I guess I will drop any notion of getting speakers.. Could be Xitron is a rip off artist and be glad the package came in perfect condition. Pricegrabber should take them off their list of places to buy computers.

I got this old computer that I need to format. I'm just going to give it away but I need to erase everything first.

The thing is, it was on a network and I forgot the password to login. I know I could go into Safe Mode, login as admin and create a new account and all that but I tried it and I guess I changed that too.

This computer doesn't have a CD drive to put the XP CD and format and the only thing it has is a floppy drive that doesn't work so pretty much there's nothing I can connect to it.

Can I access it through my network from another computer and then format it?

the folder i need to get to with command line (Windows) is "unit 1 something". I can't type 'cd unit~1' or anything similar, nor can I rename the directory or use GUI for this job. Any suggestions? Please, only real suggestions.

I have Trend Micro PC Cillin which says I have no adware or viruses. I suspected that wasnt working right because my computer is acting weird and so I downloaded the trial version of AVG and ran a scan. Sure enough, It found 2 viruses and lots of adware/spyware. However, I couldnt find where I had the option to remove them? Any suggestions?

I haven't used my other computer (my home PC) for about a month and a half because of my new laptop. Well i had to get some old files out of it and turned it on today only to find out that I literally freezes whenever I click something. My PC startup screen is the user accounts screen and when I click on any account to type in the password, it shows the type-in box but I can't do anything else. It also doesn't show any text (and I mean NO text at all)
I can't even shut it down by clicking "Turn Off Your Computer" cause it freezes!!

What happened because it's making me really mad.

Being on this Website is something new, I,m usually on Yahoo cameras.
Ordered from Pricegrabbers Dell E510 desktop, and found 2 days ago no speakers in box. Aren't speakerers suppose to come with it? Do I ***** to them or just let it go. It was a good price. Also between me and my daughter we wind up putting computer on 7,8 times a day...maybe more. Do we just leave it on all day or keep doing what we're doing?
