When I click to open a file I downloaded, nothing happens. It shows it being in My Documents, but it won't open. I am not very computer savvy(obviously), so any help would be great.

It could be in My Music folder in My Documents folder.
My Music is a subfolder of My Documents folder.

You also need to have the (music) file type associated with a media player such as Windows Media Player, WinAmp, iTunes, etc. for it to play.

You can Search your computer for music files, or .mp3 files and it should show the exact location of the file. You should be able to play it once you click on it.

You may need to open your media player and click the file types that you allow it to play.

Hi there Shelly ! OK we need more info to try to help you, well I do. most files need to be associated with a program to be open and one way to find out what program to use to open the file would be to right click on the file and read it's properties. If we knew the extension of the file we could tell you what program you could use to open it.
hope this helped a bit.
