Hi,
I have a PC which is 3 years old and combination is P4,512 MB RAM,2.8GHz....
My problem is....When i switch on the PC and try to boot....it fails to boot....If i change the slot in mother board(RAM)then it
boots...
i have to do it many tomes a day.......and One more important thing.....If i switch on the PC and dont turn it off or shut down then what is the effect ??...will it causes any problem???

I have 2 xp pcs connected tru lan.the connection however disconnects after a fews mins after the systems are powered on.what could be the problem.i get a warning that the system is not accessible/u may not have permission to use the network resources/a specified authentication package is unknown.the thing is that evrything is fine for a few mins after power up.

I have just bought a brand new system.I have connected my monitor to the tower with the lead provided.I have connected the built in speakers to the tower also.The tower and the monitor are both plugged into the mains.Everything works just fine.Windows vista starts up fine.When i come to shut down.I click on the shutdown button the computer shuts down.The monitor goes blank and then for a few seconds "No input signal" appears on the screen then goes off.Please, is this normal.If not what could be the problem.Thankyou

Let's say I went to "Myspace."
Went to a profile, r-clicked and chose "view source."
What is that HTML coding? Is it the actual HTML for that page?
When viewing this, is the code actually accessible?
Can it be changed? (I've copied it and ran it through my HTML editor and made changes, but see ? above)
Say you copied it, changed it w/an editor, how could you replace the original w/the modified copy?
Thanks to all who respond. I just found out you can see these codes on most pages and I want to learn more.

How do I get the 3 components above to operate together?

I just started learning how to do web design, and I am going to put together my first site w/o a web builder. after this site I have other ideas too I want to put on the internet also. I found Dreamhost and I got 154 GB and 1.5TB bandwidth plus they go up 1GB and 16GB respectively, i got a little off so it was only $64

Alright so I was searching a game.

i found the game on the internet and it was saved as a .torrent

so i pulled up wikipedia and it told me to download bittorrent.

i ran the torrent and extracted it but it gave me two files


a .mdf and a .mds

what do i do with these and how do i actually play my game!?

I have a linksys router and have been experiencing slow down load speeds. My ISP (comcast) says it is probably my router (they don't guarantee speeds with non-comcast routers) though I had the same router for years and this has only been happening for a few weeks.
I have installed a new modem and I know that isn't the problem. Any suggestions?

My Epson C64 would work fine except for this message which tells me that I am overdue a service. Simplest answer of course is to get a new printer - they're cheap enough. But I have recently bought a barrowload of cartridges ...
If I took my printer in for service, the engineer would reset a switch or something in the printer - any ideas?

Specifically: I have a Maxtor (Ultra ATA/133) 160 GB drive, running externally via an external power supply and casing. When installed for the first time, I had to limit the initial size to 137 GB, because of ATA restrictions. Now I am trying to reformat the drive to gain the extra 13 GB (binary vs. decimal), but Windows XP isn't showing me the unpartitioned space in Disk Manager. Also, Maxtor was bought by Seagate, and they didn't save any of Maxtor's help files.

I believe that the drive came with an installation disk to fix this, but it's been 6 years, and I can't find the disk.

Any ideas?

I just installed Microsoft Office 2002 (ya, the very old version) and activated it via internet. Can I, for example, install it to my brother's computer and have it activated (and thus usable) too?

It's 2002 version, which doesn't have the 'limit to 3 computers' stuff like 2003. But I'm not too sure...
