I have a linksys router and have been experiencing slow down load speeds. My ISP (comcast) says it is probably my router (they don't guarantee speeds with non-comcast routers) though I had the same router for years and this has only been happening for a few weeks.
I have installed a new modem and I know that isn't the problem. Any suggestions?

That's a very lazy answer from Comcast support people. You can try resetting the router, but first, just reboot it by power-cycling it (pull the plug for a minute and then reconnect).

most come with a disk besides reseting them by power there should be a small button on bottom of modem thet says reset hold it in till light flashes then it should reset itself
