How do I get the 3 components above to operate together?

At the moment, I can watch tv using my internet tv card as above BUT, I cannot use my webcam... AAAAARGH

Even my I.T. guy here sent me text msg saying "Vista? You're on your own !"

Simple instructions MUCH appreciated given lack of "free time" here at the moment....

Re Ken D
Whilst I may not have someone with me, the shop manager DID ASSURE me that the webcam WAS compatible with Vista... indeed he installed it on a new Vista laptop to make sure.. and to further ensure my scepticsm.. he then downloaded the neccessary driver direct from Logitech and saved it onto a CD for me... but still no luck :-(

On reflection, I now know that there was NOT a Win tv USB Card installed.. infact nothing other than the Vista software.. so probably nothing to make it incompatible on the system he used !! ho-hum !!

Vista is still too new for most manufacturers!

Apparently two years notice that it was being launched wasn't enough time for everyone else to prepare!

I agree with the "on your own" message. Actually, you have surprised me to show that the WIN TV Card is compatable with vista. The only thing you can do is throw the WebCam as it's not compatable. Buy a new WebCam but make sure, before purchase, that it is compatable with Vista. As a clever little tip, make sure you have somebody with you when you make your purchase and clearly ask the assistant if the WebCam is compatable with Vista, if he says it is and it isn't, take the Cam back and demand a full refund on the grounds that the assistant misled you and the Cam did not fit the requirement that you had requested. As you are running Vista, "always" check all software / hardware purchases for compatability.

i dont know why so many users are so anti-vista,i find it fine to use and have had no problem with drivers or software
i personally think the reason for so many negative remarks about vista is because when we all used windows xp we had it too easy
now we have vista, the operating system is harder to use and most users are giving up before they start
ok your using your tv card ok with vista, then while the tv is running ,try starting the webcam up by going to the appropriate icon and running it
the webcam if correctly installed should work ,move or minimize your tv picture and then move the webcam picture, both will work together its just about making the space avalible on your desktop to view them, this is a time when a dual screen configuration would come in useful
when you use vista with two screens the windows media center will go to screen two, leaving the first screen free for other tasks, why not use this for your webcam
to configure your two screens just go to your graphic cards control center and locate the appropriate option,it quite easy to configure them
finally theres two factors you need to take into consideration when running two peices of hardware, have you enough resources and more important have you enough memory, anything over 1gb should be fine to run both of these
i hope this helps
good luck mate!

Vista + anything not made by Microsoft = disaster.

My advice: don't bother with Vista ever. Believe me, it's easier to stick with 2000 or XP.

The three are probably competing for the same system resources, there may be a complex solution but it sounds like you won't have the time or skill to implement it yourself, and as Vista is so new I don't know if PC tech types will know the answer right away either.

It may be a case of waiting for new drivers to be made, which could take anything up to never.

The capital one cup is a good start up, we could desire to continually be aiming for the FA, yet as quickly as we gained the capital one and complete in the perfect 3 it would be an extremely effectual season in my opinion.
