If you have an existing firewall, you're going to have to get rid of it before you can download Zone Alarm properly. Also, you need to turn off any anti-virus protection while it's downloading and installing. If you're getting their full security suite, then you'll need to get rid of any anti-virus programs too, as one will consider the other a virus because of the virus definitions they put in place. If none of that works, then I'd give Zone Labs a call; they have pretty good tech support people.

First you must make sure you have downloaded the correct version for your system. Also, select customise install instead of typical install. This allows you to install certain components instead of the typical set, which may be in conflict with your system settings.

Do you already have a firewall installed? If so, its that blocking it probably.
