hey prashant... dont worry ur PC wil be fine. We just need to diagnose the problem n apply the rite solution. May be i cud help u as i hav completed my m.tech in IT. Well it can be RAM problem but until n unless u knw that its due to the malfunctng of RAM dnt change coz it wil cost u round abt 1200-1500 bucks. Secondly u can format the operating system by using bootable windows XP cd. Install a latest antivirus as the system is prone toviruses if u use internet. Thirdly remove those unwanted bulky files which hav no imp work..eg GAMES n other files tht u hav dwnloaded for fun sake n are bulky... I feel formatting wud do. But if condition worsens it can be a hardware problem may be malfunctioning of SMPC (fan that is inside the cpu) or nythng else. Take it to some proffesional shop.. But dnt worry its a minor problem...n i hop ur PC wil work smoothly as before.

When was the last time you reboot? A lot of people tend to leave theirs running when they have issues and this does not help. A regular reboot helps free up memory. And clean up temporary internet files. If you surf a lot they tend to build up and take up a lot of room.
