entered, are options from the pulldown. I know I learned how to create pull downs in college, but I can't recall. Please help! Thanks!

It sounds like what you want are "filters" for each column. Do a search in Help for filter. Also if you indicate what version of Excel you're using, instructions here might be more tailored to your needs. (Excel 2003, or 2007?)

This should work assuming Excel does not have a built in feature to do it. In an unused column put sequential numbers to be used to return the sequence at the end. In another column put 1 and then 2. Propagate it down so you have 1,2,1,2,1,2...... Now sort the sheet on the 1 and 2 column and every other row will be grouped together. Do the formatting. Resort using the sequential number column. Remove the two columns. ✩

Is the forms toolbar what your looking for? Right click next to the tol bars and check forms. It allows you to make check boxes and drop downs. The only thing is they dont fit to the cell so you may have to fiddle around until you find it.

Data --> Filter --> AutoFilter
