I built my dell online about a month ago..Yesterday it was suppose to ship out so I was so excited! I get home yesterday and I have a message from dell that there was a back up and I won't get my lap top until the 30th....They waited until the day it was suppose to be shipped to tell me this?

Well you realize that dell sucks. Ive known this since day one hahaha. Yeah your hands are kind of tied since you sent it in. I would have tried to ask for my money back but then again, I wouldnt have bought dell in the first place ; )

I would cancel if i were you, HEY if your interested, i custom build laptops and desktops and if you had one made from me, i could have it shipped in a week! + Im cheaper than dell, and i will only use secure payment methods, meaning i never use wire transfer.

You shouldn't waste your time on this microsoft computers.Buy apple and expirience everything.Do you know that microsoft has use the mac os x 10.2 made a long time ago to make vista.Thats a shame

Either cancel your order and get refund (fast, use the money to buy something better)
Or
Complain to the customer service and make them reimburse you for the extra time (threaten them with legal letter)

You should be able to cancel and get a refund. They've significantly missed their delivery date... 4 weeks extra.
Go to somewhere with *acceptable* customer service and spend your money.

Ring up customer support, trust me, make a complaint and you will get free stuff.
I got £100 off my laptop because they made a cockup :)

cancel it and go for and other system you need to do some serious research into Dells after sales service.... it is very bad,,,
