More information is needed.

What is the internet speed itself? If you have a very slow internet speed itself, you may have to procure a faster speed. The network itself will not address this matter. Measure your network speed (go to www.pcpitstop.com and use their test). Then connect your pc directly to the modem without any router and measure it again. If the speed is about the same, the problem a slow network connection and you need to get it upgraded.

If the speed is a lot faster, the problem is other network users consuming much of the bandwidth. In this case you and the other users need to cooperate and / or get a faster connection and / or inefficiencies in the network itself.

The router and / or network switch may be undersized for the task and this results in packet loss. Gettign a unit designed for higher speed (faster processor) will make a difference if this is the root cause.

Finally keep in mind, no matter what you install, it has a finite capacity. Faster equipment and higher internet speed is more costly - do you really need the speed or is it for recreation?

You may need to upgrade your internet conenction to Cable Connection. It's much faster than Dial Up and DSL. Your connection may not have a strong power to let 4 computers work at the same time, especially when you're using Dial Up. When you upgrade it into Cable, you'll enjoy the blazing fast speed.

Good Luck,

In the instance that you are using a high speed connection, try rebooting your router. This helps to refresh connections. They can and do degrade over time.
