my computer says i have spyware! a trojan .. ive tried eve3rything how can i delete my whole computer and start over?

the settings on the modem the speed says 115.5 kbps but when i run internet speed test it gives me 48kbps. what can i do to optimize it to its full potential. what are some good optimizing programs for internet speed

Will there be any difference in performance if I will run ATI 1900GT in PCI-E 8X mode vs 16X? I dont really think there will be any difference at all but I want to be sure. I am looking for cheap motherboard and I found one but its PCI-E slot runs in 8X mode. I will be using this with AMD 64 X2 3800+ CPU.

I fried my motherboard and am ordering a new one. Will I need to reinstall XP with all my old componenets or can I just plug all my old components (CPU, video card, RAM) into the motherboard and boot from my hard drives as before. If I am going to need to reinstall xp, please tell me why.

basically Im building a website for my brothers band using html and javascripts and need a navigation menu but i cant find any good ones on the internet.. hello after trying and reading up different solutions; non of them has worked for me. i have two computers on my network a laptop connected wirelessly and my desktop pc wired to the router (using netgear router without any issues). i have established the networking between the two computers so that the windows xp home based laptop can see my computer on the network and can access my shared folders, where as i cannot see anything under my network and i cannot seem to find any other devices connected to the internet at all. if anyone can help i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It looks like we will have to reformat a hard drive that has 3 users. I want to copy the My Documents of all users elsewhere so it is not lost.

I can move all the users except one. I receive an error message that states access denied. I cannot log into the pc (when I try it returns me to the log in screen) hence the reformat reason.

Is there anything I can do to move this?

At the XP login screen the user name and password are entered properly. The Microsoft jingle starts and the monitor starts to show the desk top like normal. There is no statement indicating password error. There are 3 users on this pc; we see the same behavior with all users. Then it returns you to the log in screen as though you logged out.

This is XP with SP 2.

Any suggestions on how to get in?

ok so i have Buttton1 and Button2
Button1does something
i want Button2 to trigger the Button1 the same way as clicking Button1 would.

what do i type in:
Private Sub Button2_Click

to get it to click on button1

does this work? Is it possible? am i making sense?
