is it ok to put programs like for example the free avg anti virus in the download page of my website? is it legal? and im planning to place an adsense add on my site also, am i violating any rules? thanks

Why would anyone download from your site rather than going to the source? The latest copy will be on the source website plus I wouldn't have any assurance that you haven't modified the source in some way to corrupt the files. At best I could see you including a link to the AVG site but including a download on your violates the license agreement.

You are definitely violating Grisoft's rules by providing the free antivirus on your own site. Even if you weren't using Adsense, it would still be a violation of their licenses and copyright.

You would have to contact grisoft to make sure it is ok for you to have a download for their AVG software.
