I use vixy.net or mediaconverter.org, but vixy gives me files that are DivX, which is something WMM doesn't like. Media converter takes a pretty long time. Does anyone know a quick way to download videos from YouTube, aside from downloading as DivX?

I have a Dell Inspiron B120 Laptop. Well I regret buying this piece of junk because its been nothing but problems.

Now what it does is whenever I plug a USB device into the side ports. I shuts off immediately. When you turn it back on after about 10 seconds (because it wont let you turn it immediately back on) it says that you exceeded the power limits and the system had to shutdown.

Seriously the only thing I plugged in was a USB mouse. How much energy can an infrared LED take? All the USB ports on the laptop do this. It was working just fine just yesterday! And no it is no longer under warranty.

I would like to start a business in my local area offering wireless broadband to my customers' customers. Confusing? Let me give you an example:

My client is a hotel. I want to be able to offer wireless broadband to the hotel guests, using their existing broadband.

Customers will log their laptops onto the wireless network, then enter their credit card details, and the system will then let them onto the internet for as long as they have paid for.

I'd like some ideas of how to acheive this result - from an IT standpoint.

I would think I'd need a seperate wireless router, which is set to allow any wireless device to connect. They're then redirected to a page somewhere which collects their CC info, and gives them access, somehow?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

comcast told me:"Our technicians come to your home
to install your network and we will help you support it. This is a huge advantage over a network you install your self as we would be unable to offer any assistance once it was set it up."
HOW do i install my own "network"? I assume this would save me some $$. Am clueless about all of this stuff! thanks

My company manages a website for my client. My client has asked us to consider using cookies to remember login details. What are the pros and cons of doing this? And can you restrict cookies to user groups (rather than everyone logging in), or give them a time limit (eg they will remember your details if you keep logging in within 10 days). What are the key things we should consider? I heard that it's 'really old technology' but does that mean we should stay clear? thanks!

I have a computer about 5 years old with the Intel Celleron 1.7 GHz and I'm looking to buy a computer with the Intel Pentium Dual-Core 1.6GHz. Now I'm kinda out of the loop with the tech stuff, what's the difference between the two? How much faster is the Dual-Core?

"There is virtually no performance difference between the 64MB and 128MB versions of the Go7400; TurboCache shared memory compensates for the relatively small amount of video memory on the 64MB version quite well."

IS THIS TRUE? AND IT ALSO APPLIES FOR 7300GO?
I have read this here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=39568

Also, it writes:
"Nvidia's [shared memory technology] is superior, as part of it is done in hardware; ATI's solution relies completely on software and is considerably slower."

I want to buy an Acer laptop with Nvidia Go7300 64Mb because it has a Dual Core 1.73 Ghz T2080 CPU with 2Mb L2, 667 Mhz FSB.
There is an another too, with 128Mb Nvidia Go7300, BUT it has a slower Dual Core 1.73 Ghz T2080 CPU with 1Mb L2, and 533 FSB...
If the two cards have relatively the same performance, then the 1st one would be faster...
And I want to know if it is a good decision...
Please help me.

Thanks.

I downloaded this program at the suggestion of my school's tech help desk, and it says my temperature is 76*c and 92*c. I don't know why there are two values, but that's WAY too hot, isn't it? All I was doing was looking at youtube videos.

I have a lot of space left on my laptop because I bought an external hard drive.

The program is called "mobile meter."

What maintenance, or corrective procedure, should I perform after a power cut? Every time there is a power cut my desktop is either slow to boot, or fails to boot and I have to boot in safe mode. I use Tune Up Utilities and Ultimate Defrag to keep everything fast, but after a power cut, I get boot problems. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I made a purchase on 6-7-07 and paid for it the same day thru Paypal. I have emailed the seller twice about when I should expect to receive them and have heard nothing back from them. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I made the purchase. Shouldn't I have had it buy now?

P.S. It's not like it is something that has to be engraved or made or anything...it is a bulk order of punch cups I was wanting to use for my wedding.
