Faster RAM means better performance in high-end games, but it's not worth spending extra money on unless you're in the category of "money is no object, build the fastest rig you can" people who willingly burn $$$ for small gains.
Other components make a much bigger difference- processor, video adapter etc. You're talking maybe 2% speed increase from using faster RAM, you probably wouldn't notice at all.

The higher the MHz, the faster it will run. However, the quantity of RAM (MB or GB) is probably more important than the speed of the RAM (MHz). In reality, the speed of the RAM in most new computers won't make a noticeable difference unless you are doing some high end things like gaming or video editing.

More mhz on ram means more speed. If you want a fast notebook I would spend the extra dollars.

The higher the Mhz, the faster the RAM is. BUT, you cannot just put any speed of RAM into a computer...it has to be compatible with the motherboard and CPU. Go to http://www.crucial.com to see what speed and size of RAM your notebook supports.

higher the frequency of Mhz on ram, the better it will perform. Yes its worth getting good ram if your building a new computer. but it depends on your needs, if you lookin for something that will be future proof, go for the better ram, if not, id just say stick with slower ram.
Gaming = Fast Ram
Home / Office = Slow
