I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do...

I assume a simple copy & paste won't work. If you didn't save changes, and the auto-recover feature was off, then you won't be able to retrieve that data.

There are so many ways of linking data from one spreadsheet to another. There's a simple copy & paste, there's VLOOKUP, there's the simple formula of entering '=A2' (or whatever cell you want to reference). I think you might need a little more detail in your question... or if you can e-mail the spreadsheets, I can look at it and have a better idea of what you're trying to do. UPDATE: Miss Dutti said it right. Say for example, you have Spreadsheet 1 with names and addresses, and spreadsheet 2 has names and dates of birth; but you want dates of birth in spreadsheet 1 column B. Click the first cell in column B that dates of birth would appear. Select the "insert function" button (looks like fx). Then select "lookup & reference", and scroll to the botton & select VLOOKUP.

With your cursor in field 1, select the first cell on spreadsheet 1 with a name.
With your cursor in field 2, select spreadsheet 2 and select the columns with the names and dates of birth, plus everything inbetween.
With your cursor in field 3, enter the column number the dates of birth appear in spreadsheet 2, counting within your selected range (Example: If names are in column C, and dates of birth are in column F, enter the number 4).
With your cursor in field 4, enter the number 0.

The data should then appear in your first cell. To copy it down to the rest of the cells, highlight the first one and all of the cells beneath it. With all of them selected, type CTRL+D.

This function may help: under 'insert'--> function
vlookup function=lookups from one sheet to match to another sheet to give u a final result base on the criteria set.
Try different functions under insert function to suit your needs

Import to Access. Excel isn't a Database. Stop trying to using it that way.
