distorted images from cctv . something that helps them to clean up the pictures? can anyone help?

On those cop programmes on TV they can take a blurred picture and identify the killer from 200 yards on a wet day through a reflection in a window!

Frankly, it's impossible! A sharpening program simply increases the contrast between edges to make the picture more acceptable to the human eye. You cannot add detail that isn't there in the original picture.

Microsoft's photo editor is part of MS Office and that has a sharpen function. It works OK on some pictures - but no sharpener works miracles...
