Alright, I need to reinstall windows. Home Edition to be exact, and used the CD Key, or Product Key on the CD Folder for the setup disk. It didn't work, so I looked around for that sticker that says your product code. I used that, and it still didn't work. I even tried it backwards. Help. Please. Make my day. PLEASE.

im sure I have ddr ram not ddr2, but how can I tell how many pins are on the ddr ram because im trying to upgrade my motherboard because the cpu is not working at full speed with the old one, its a pentium 4 2.6 ghz HT going at 1.3 ghz, Im just making sure my new motherboard im about to purchase has the right rom slots on it, it says

So is it legal to download it and then change the Key to the one that I have on my computer. In case anyone is wondering, I want the CD because if anything ever bad happens, I could always reinstall XP with a clean install. I don't want to use backup programs either. So is it legal?

First off, I know very little about computers besides how to use them. Currently, my computer is Windows 2000. There are a lot of disadvantages to my outdated laptop. A lot of websites don't work for me and I can't get the most updated programs (ex. AIM, Windows Media Player). As far as I know, Windows XP is the most updated thing, but I don't know how to get my computer to Windows XP. Is there something I can buy and install to update my computer? I really don't have the money to buy a new laptop and would rather spend money on upgrading my perfectly fine laptop. The only problem with it is it's only Windows 2000.

I downloaded all of the soft ware,and plugged in the card to the mother board, but I'm afraid I didn't remove anything for fear of taking something important. The card I installed is Vision Tek X 1300. The guy said it was really good; all I know is the darned thing cost $128.00 and if I'm going to make an investment like that, I expect it to work. What have I done wrong?

After 3 days ago when I was using IE7, for some reason, I started getting all these browser add-ons. Then I got this weird sex advertisement toolbar among other annoying and horrible things. I asked for help on a forum, and they told me about Mozilla FIrefox (www.firefox.com) and about Ad-Aware. Both things helped a lot! I ran Ad-Aware and it removed over 2000 ugly things from my computer. And Firefox, with an IE Tab, is my replacement for IE. Now I'm not getting any spyware or anything. So I'm just wondering, since about 10% of the people out there use Firefox, does anyone still use Internet Explorer ?

ok im really losing my patience. i got a ps2 and i bought the wireless G so i can go online wirelessly. i already got a wireless dsl modem that verizon got me. i popped in the cd that came with the wireless G and did everything it asked for( or so i thought) and its still not working. plz tell me step by step how to set it up, i tryed to set it up how the manual says but it dont seem to work. do i need to change the ip address or does it really matter what ssid i choose?and also do i plug in the ethernet cable from the wireless G to the modem i have from verizon( it has 4 ethernet slots, and it has an antenna for wireless connection) or do i connect it to the computer ethernet port?. im soo lost . please help me... thanks

I'm adding a new DVD burner to my 1.7Ghz, PIV system. I currently have a CD-ROM as master on the secondary. I was thinking I'd put the DVD burner as master on the secondary. Is this a good idea and should I then move the CD-ROM to slave on the primary or slave on the secondary?

I have a ton of music, about thirty-thousand songs, and I they are all on my computer in MP3 files, in folders. I was wandering if there is a program or something out there that will allow me to create a book with the music listed in an orderly fashion insted of typing it out in Microsoft word. I could be doing nothing at all and I start to lag like crazy. Usually, my ping is around 30-40, but when I start to spike, it goes up to 9000 ... this just started this week and I didn't change anything on the computer .. i was on a router when this started happening, so i decided to directly connect my computer to the modem to see if the same happens, and it does! what do i do now? i tried using the dr tcp thing and it seemed to make it even worse; my ping stayed at 9000 as soon as i tweaked the settings according to broadbandreports.com ... thanks!
