im sure I have ddr ram not ddr2, but how can I tell how many pins are on the ddr ram because im trying to upgrade my motherboard because the cpu is not working at full speed with the old one, its a pentium 4 2.6 ghz HT going at 1.3 ghz, Im just making sure my new motherboard im about to purchase has the right rom slots on it, it says

Number of Memory Slots: 2×184pin + 2×240pin.

oh and on aida32 it says the ram im using is

(pc2700 ddr sdram)

well try going to bestbuy.com then using its memory locater. it will tell u ur comp specs and wut type of ram it can use. if u bought ur caomputer a while back like say 2005 it would most likely mean its ddr if more recently like a couple a months b4 vista came out its most likely ddr2

You are using DDR memory, 184 pins

The new board can take both DDR and DDR2, but only 1 type at a time

yes the motherboard you are purchasing has both DDR1 and DDR2. you can use either one but not both.
