And I am talking about the 320MB version, not the 640 MB. Anyway, will this card run games on full quality with great framerates on a 22" LCD monitor running in 1680x1050?

As long as you're not running Vista, that card rocks. Can't beat it without jumping to an entirely different price point.

The Vista driver bugs will be worked out eventually in any case- and you're DX10 ready- just make sure your power supply can handle it :)

no 320mb is not enough as som newer games have a ultra setting which generates objects as large as 500mb or so. So it would lag behind cause it only produces 320mb, your better off getting the 640mb. Also don't go crazy with the psu bullshit. i got 8800gtx and running a lot of **** on a 300 watt 19amp psu. And i've had it for a while now.
Btw i'm serious, the psu as long as it's a quality psu. If you get a cheap one yes it will fail. But for me it's fine. If your going ultra quality in games you need the 640mb if not 320 is plenty.

a Geforce 880 GTS will run just about whatever you want. halflife 2 and age of empires 3 arent really demanding games though. i can run those games on my laptop with an ati mobility radeon x300 at middle of the road settings. that card could handle that pretty easy i would think.

Depends on the games and settings, but it will run brilliantly at those resolutions for the most part. She's a beautiful card.

in case your asking what is going to supply extra desirable overall performance in video games, then its the 8800GTS and not employing a shadow of a doubt. in case your asking which will supply extra desirable overall performance in issues like video/photograph enhancing, encoding and such, then the CPU. honeslty i could circulate with an Intel E2140 twin middle and an 8800GT 512 or possibly even 9600GT 512, and it will fee the comparable as a 8800GTS, and approximately $seventy 5 extra desirable than a Q6600.
