I really need some help. I've just purchased a custom chopper, basically a kit bike--and I can't find anyone to insure it for a reasonable price. Most won't even give me a quote. Progressive wanted $3600 a year. The bike is valued at $16,000.00 and I live in Louisiana if that helps.

Is there any other spot on the motorcycle to check other than the fork? The numbers there aren't all readable. I have no title to work off of. What other place on the bike, if any, can I find them?

I just picked up a pair of joe rocket meteor boots, and it is so hard to shift in these things. not only are they harder to fit under the shift lever, but they are too stiff to find neutral easily even when the bike is off. Do my boots suck or do I just need to get used to them? Discuss.

Start it up cruise down the road 10 feet and my turn signals are not blinking they turn on but don't blink. Pull the bike back in turn it off. I check all the fuses and lines no problem. turn on the acc. turn signals blink. Turn bike on, no blinking. Turn on emergency they blink. Turn on one or the other no blinking. Turn off bike they blink. What did I do? What little gremlin crawled into my bike?

I've got a friend who's just beginning to ride dirtbikes, and she'll just be riding around her fields and the occasional open trail. Besides the helmet (obviously), what should she get gear-wise? I think she could stick to just a helmet, jeans, and a sweatshirt for the amount of riding she's doing, but neither of us is really sure. Thanks in advance!

I'm about 5'3" and I am interested in a sport bike. My brother just bought a Honda CBR600F4i and I could probably drive it, but its a stretch to hold it up, deffinately not on two feet. I know that Kawasaki has their Ninja 250, but I was kind of looking for something with a more sporty style. Any suggestions? Would a lowering kit be best?

I have a 2000 Suzuki Bandit S. Sometimes when I'm at a light, for some reason it wont switch into first gear. Other times it's really easy.

What can be causing this?

Will my bike pass its MOT if it has a small crack underneath the light, but not affecting the light at all, but meaning the panel is a little loose.

Also, I have sprayed the exhaust, meaning you can no-longer the the stamp on it.. (After-market exhaust) .

Will these things still pass through an MOT.

Thanks.

I've just bought a 1981 model Yamaha DT 125 MX and it's in good shape having been mostly rebuilt.
I was wondering how many miles you would be able to travel on one at about 50mph before needing to stop to let the engine cool down and make sure nothing is melting, and also how long you should stop for.

thanks!

Returning motorcyclist. Away from riding too long . . . approximately 20 years. Now at 47, I am wanting to ride again. I have my eyes on a older Goldwing, and I am wanting to know if I can manage a Goldwing. I owned a FS CB750 sport in the day and rode on occasion a friend's KZ1100. Is it worth my time going to a dealer and ask to testride a Wing?
